The climate in the high mountains is low in allergens. For example, house dust mites no longer occur at altitudes above an altitude of 1500 meters. There is therefore no need to equip your room with allergy blankets. Sleep in our plastic-free, high-quality comforters and forget about your allergy. If you still feel better, we will of course be happy to change your pillow and comforter.
Hotel Schneider is located 1.760 meters above sea level.
On your day of arrival, your room or suite is available from 3.00 pm and your apartment from 4.00 pm. If you arrive earlier, you are welcome to park in the underground garage and use our changing room to get changed for skiing. Please inform us if the arrival will be after 7.00 pm.
Late check-in after 9.30 pm is also possible. Please inform us about this in advance, so we can communicate you the code. Your key card will be in the key box, which is located on the left-hand side as you enter the underground car park.
In case of early departure or late arrival, 90% of the half-board price will be charged. Thank you for your understanding.
If you’re arriving by public transport, please get in touch with us. You’ll receive a QR code that allows you to travel for free by train and bus from Salzburg to Obertauern.
You are welcome to borrow books from our carefully selected collection. We ask for an information at the reception when you borrow a book and are very grateful when you return them.
Breakfast buffet: from 7.30 am to 10.30 am
Please do not take your buggy into your room/suite. You will find space next to the elevator in the main staircase on each floor and also in the basement. You can borrow a CYBEX buggy, which is made for winter use, for free. Please ask at the reception. The baby carriage is available subject to availability. No reservations are made. Thank you for your understanding.
The nearest cash machine is 400 meters away at the Raiffeisenkasse Obertauern.
In the basement, we provide a changing room (next to the entrance of the SPA area) to store your luggage, change your clothes and to take a shower if your room is not ready yet or if you depart late. You will need a € 1.00 coin for the locker.
Our children’s playground is located in the basement of Hotel Schneider.
On the opposite side, you will find the youth space with table tennis, air hockey (EUR 1,00 per game) and table football (EUR 0,50 per game). Table tennis bats and the ball can be lent at the reception (EUR 5,00 deposit in cash). Parents are liable for any damage caused by their children.
The childrens’s cinema is located on the basement floor of the Hotel Schneider – opposite of the children’s playroom. About the schedules and movies, you will be informed in the daily morning mail on your breakfast table or in the guest portal.

We are happy to help you with the loading of your luggage. In order to avoid waiting times, we kindly ask you to inform us of the desired pick-up time for your luggage the evening before your departure. Please allow for a time of about 15 minutes.

We would also like to point out that blocking fees from third-party providers may apply if you leave the car plugged in at the charging station for too long. Underground parking is free of charge. Please park properly and only use one spot. You enter the garage with your room key card or by ringing the bell on the left side of the gate. To leave the garage, please pull the red rope. (extra parking spot EUR 25,00 per day, if available)

Our own farm is located in Radstadt at an altitude of 860 m. The “Hintergottschallgut” is a grassland farm with dairy cows, forestry and alpine pasture. We have dedicated our livestock breeding to the preservation of the local cattle breed “Pinzgauer Rind”. Most of the beef and veal come from our own farm. The daily fresh milk is also delivered from our farm. Organic eggs are delivered from a farm in Radstadt called “Bleiwanghof“. Organic potatoes and honey are from farms in Lungau. We received the AMA Gastrosiegel which ensures that foodstuffs can be traced to their source. In addition, products that carry this symbol meet the highest quality standards.

In the basement you will find the ski room. Each room has its own ski locker with ventilated and heated holding bars for ski boots, gloves and helmets. Please use your room key card to enter and do not take your ski equipment into your room. If your ski box is occupied, please inform the reception. Use the lift 3 to get directly to the slopes.
Is located next to the reception in our library. On request, you can watch your favorite sports program at SKY Sports HD. Please sign up at the reception.
You can borrow a sledge for free. You will find them in the 1st basement next to the side entrance. We kindly ask you to return the sledge after use. If you have questions, please ask at our reception.
For the welfare and health of all our guests, we kindly ask you to smoke in the smokers lounge only. All other areas of the hotel are non-smoking areas. All rooms and suites are designated as non-smoking areas. Smoking in any of our rooms, against the above-mentioned regulations, can result in the hotel imposing a cleaning fee at least of EUR 150,00. If you decide to smoke on the balcony, please ensure the balcony door is closed and use the ashtray on the balcony.
